Camperdown College
Camperdown College is a co-educational P-12 school with a strong and proud tradition of supporting students to achieve successful outcomes. The school is located in the beautiful Lakes and Craters district of south-west Victoria and our vibrant Geography program pays tribute to the natural surrounds. The total enrolment of the College is just under 300 students, with Prep to Year 6 located at the Brooke Street Junior Campus and Years 7-12 at the nearby Wilson Street Senior Campus. The College has a generous ratio of staff to students, enabling us to maintain small and supportive class sizes from Prep all the way through to Year 12. We value the individuality of students and provide a friendly, safe, cooperative and challenging environment.
Camperdown College has built on the traditions and standards established over many years. We pride ourselves on the learning progress achieved by our students in the core areas of literacy and numeracy, with growth rates as measured by NAPLAN testing, comparing very favourably with other schools. The College has achieved very strong VCE results and is proud of it achievements in this area, with Year 12 English results being a particular source of pride. Students have the opportunity to undertake tailored pathways which provide a strong background for further education, employment or other training programs. VCAL, VETis, Structured Workplace Learning and School Based Apprenticeships enrich the offerings for senior students.
Major building and refurbishment projects at both campuses over the past four years mean that all students are now enjoying modernised, spacious learning environments. A new stadium at our nearby Frederick Street site is a facility greatly enjoyed by our students and the wider community.

Again, thank you to all families for your support of our new student attendance policy. Every absence requires an explanation on the day of (or prior to) the absence and only absences that meet the Department’s strict guidelines will be coded as ‘approved’ by the school. If a family holiday is planned during the school term please make contact with the relevant Assistant Principal well in advance to discuss the implications for your child’s learning and attendance. Our students and families demonstrated at last Friday’s Senior Campus Swimming Carnival that widespread support and participation makes for a fabulous day – well done to all of our competitors, helpers and cheer squads!
