Enrolment & Transition

Enrolment @ Camperdown College:

To begin the enrolment process, please contact the office at your preferred campus to arrange an enrolment meeting (Junior Campus 5593 1438, Senior Campus 5593 1617). We see this meeting as a wonderful opportunity to get to know you and your child. It allows us to understand your family’s needs and work together to create the best possible start to your child’s educational journey at our school.

For students entering Prep and Year 7, we are committed to ensuring the smoothest transition possible. We offer information sessions, school tours and engaging transition taster programs designed to help students and their families feel confident, prepared and connected to our school community.

Details about these events are communicated via our Facebook page, school newsletter and local newspapers.

We understand that circumstances such as relocation may necessitate enrolments at various times throughout the school year. However, our preference is that families seeking enrolment from neighbouring schools aim to do so at the beginning of a term (Junior Campus) or semester (Senior Campus). This helps ensure a smoother transition for students—academically, socially and emotionally—by aligning with key points in the school calendar. Of course, if circumstances necessitate an immediate enrolment, we are more than happy to discuss and make appropriate arrangements to support your child’s transition.

School Zone:

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address. Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places. 2027 Foundation (Prep) Enrolments:

All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school. You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20th April 2026.

What you need to do:

Contact our Junior Campus on 5593 1438 to book an optional school tour.
Download the Department of Education Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by Monday 20th April 2026). This pack includes guidance on the application process.
Submit an enrolment application by Friday 31st July 2026.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3rd August and Friday 14th August 2026.
Take part in school transition sessions during Term 4, 2026.
Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28th January 2027.

Enrolment applications submitted after Friday 31st July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Enrolment Policy.

Other Year Level Enrolments:

We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year. Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.
